Dioecious, Monoecious, Gynodioecious, Androdioecious, Hermaphrodite organisms

1.Hermaphrodite: 
  • Plants with flowers having both male and female parts i.e. carpel and stamens.
  • Male and Female sex organs are in same flower on a plant.
  • EXAMPLE: Rose
2.Monoecious: 
  • It is a condition of having separate sex flowers on same individual. 
  • Male flowers with stamens and female flowers having carpels on same plant.
  • Distinct Male and Female flowers are on the same individual plant.
  • EXAMPLE: In Hazel plant.
3.Dioecious: 
  • It is a condition of having same sex flowers on same individual. 
  • Male flowers with stamens on Male Plant and female flowers having carpels on separate Female plant.
  • Distinct Male and Female flowers are on the different plants.
  • EXAMPLE: Ilex flowers, Actinidia (Kiwi), Papaya



4.Gynodioecious: 
  • Plants that are either female or hermaphrodite are known as Gynodioecious.
  • These plants have female flowers on one plant and bisexual flowers on different plant.
  • So female flowers and bisexual flowers are on different plant.
  • EXAMPLE: In Wild Geranium plant.


5.Androdioecious: 
  • Plants that are either male or hermaphrodite.
  • This condition is very rare among plants.
  • EXAMPLE: In Datisa glomerata plant
