What is Aerobic and Anaerobic Respiration

Image
What is Cellular Respiration? The process of breakdown of food in the cell with the release of energy is called cellular respiration. Types of Cellular Respiration When breakdown of food/glucose occurs with the use of oxygen it is called aerobic respiration. Examples: In most of our body cells Aerobic respiration takes place. Food can also be broken down, without using oxygen. This is called anaerobic respiration. Examples: Some organisms like Yeast thrive/Lives in oxygen deficient conditions. They are called anaerobes. Muscles cells can also respire anaerobically In absence of oxygen glucose can be converted to Lactic acid or alcohol FULL VIDEO EXPLANATION:

Types of life cycle in algae- Haplontic, Diplontic, Haplobiontic, Diplohaplontic for Bsc and Msc with Notes

Life cycle is the sequence of changes in morphological phases during the growth and development of organism. A life cycle with two generations- Sporophyte and Gametophyte is called as Alteration of Generation. When the Gametophyte does not resemble the Sporophyte, this is called as Heteromorphic Alteration of Generation. When the Gametophyte resemble the Sporophyte this is called as Homomorphic Alteration of Generation. Sporophyte are always diploid with cells capable of undergoing Meiosis and form Haploid spores. On the basis of occurrence of haploid and diploid phase alternating with each other five types of cycles : Haplontic Diplontic Diplohaplontic Haplobiontic Diplobiontic Haplontic Life Cycle In this type of life cycle the vegetative plant is haploid/ Gametophyte. Haploid gametes are produced by male and female Gametophyte. Gametes unite to form diploid zygote or Sporophyte. The sporophyte produces haploid spores by MEIOSIS. These haploid spores give rise to gametophyte(haplo

Respiration in Organisms notes for science class 7 NCERT, PSTET and CTET

r  Our Each cell of an organism performs certain functions such as nutrition, transport, excretion and reproduction. To perform these functions, the cell needs energy.   From where the cell get energy? The food has stored energy. This stored energy gets released during respiration. All living organisms respire to get energy from food. Breathing is a part of respiration. During breathing, we breathe in air and air contains oxygen. We breathe out air which is rich in carbon dioxide. The air we breathe in is transported to all parts of the body and ultimately to each cell. Oxygen in the air helps in the breakdown of food. The process of breakdown of food in the cell with the release of energy is called cellular respiration. Types of Respiration Food can also be broken down, without using oxygen. So energy can be released from cells in the presence OR absence of oxygen. When breakdown of glucose occurs with the use of oxygen it is called aerobic respiration. Examples: In most of our body

Light, Shadow and Reflection notes for science class 6 NCERT, PSTET and CTET

Image
Light, Shadow and Reflection What are Luminous and Nonluminous objects? Objects that give out or emit light of their own are called luminous objects. Example: Sun, Torch, Moon, Bulb etc. Objects which do not give out or emit light of their own are called Nonluminous objects. Example: Table, chair, pen etc. TRANSPARENT, OPAQUE AND TRANSLUCENT OBJECTS Transparent:  Objects that allow light to pass through it and you are able to see clearly through an object. Opaque: Objects that allow light to pass through it and you are not able to see through an object. Translucent: There are some objects through which we can see, but not very clearly. Such objects are known as translucent. Like paper. SHADOW The dark patch formed by an opaque object on a surface is called as shadow. Why Shadow formed? When an opaque-objects obstruct light, a shadow forms. We need a source of light and an opaque object, to see a shadow. Shadows give us some information about shapes of object but the information is n

Nutrition in Animals notes for science class 6 NCERT, PSTET and CTET

Nutrition meaning: The process by which organism consume food and use it for bodily purpose is called as Nutrition. The breakdown of complex components of food into simpler form is called as Digestion. DIFFRENT WAYS OF TAKING FOOD Scraping, chewing, siphoning, capturing and swallowing, sponging, sucking etc. Bees and humming-birds suck the nectar of plants Infants feed on mother’s milk. Snakes like the python swallow the animals they prey upon. Some aquatic animals filter tiny food particles floating. What is Digestive system? The digestive tract and the associated glands together constitute the digestive system. Digestive tract is a canal comprises of various parts like-buccal cavity, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine and anus. The digestive tract is associated with the various glands. Components of Digestive system. The mouth and buccal cavity Food is taken into the body through the mouth. Food with the help of teeth break down mechanically into small pieces. Th
